Raya 09

Went to my friend's aunty's place the night before raya and during raya. Didn't do anything there other than eating till we drop. Until now, we're still sick of rendang.

rendang daging

rendang ayam

another rendang daging

soto

kicap cili padi...for the soto

sambal kacang

this is why we got sick for rendang

These are from the night before raya. We were too busy eating during raya. After the raya dinner, went for pool afterhour and ordered this

It's called afterhour kill, really a killer! can feel the kick after the first 2 sips...why? it's a mixture of vodka, gin, bombay, tequila, bacardi, and 2 more liquor, with lime and sprite....KILLA!!

Thought of the day

We are all hypocrites, in a way. We just don't admit, or even realize it.

Just saw the latest video of human killing dogs and everyone was cursing the people who killed the dogs. Ya, I know it's a bit cruel for the way they did it, but calling those peeps inhuman and cursing them to die is just a little bit hypocrisy. Before everyone starts cursing me, I shall repeat I DON'T LIKE that scene either, but I just don't think we have the right to call them inhuman and all (unless you're a vegetarian). Why? Would you feel and say the same when you see someone kill a chicken or a duck? They are living things too. No right? Why?? Coz it's meant to be eaten, coz they are animals. That's exactly how they look at dogs over there, animals! It's food, to them. Yes, the way the kill the dog is very cruel and torturing for the dogs, how do you think the animal on your plates are killed? Do you think they are all killed properly (put halals aside)? Isn't that animal cruelty as well?? and when PETA complained about it, all meat eaters say they have nothing else better to do. Won't that be being a hypocrite?

Well, it's just a thought due to the side effect of excessive boredness. and once again I DON'T AGREE with their cruelty, but I still love meat (not dog meat of course).

Hypocrites

Hypocrisy is the act of pretending to have beliefs, opinions, virtues, feelings, qualities, or standards that one does not actually have. Hypocrisy is thus a kind of lie. Hypocrisy may come from a desire to hide from others actual motives or feelings.

Hypocrisy is not simply an inconsistency between what is advocated and what is done. Samuel Johnson made this point when he wrote about the misuse of the charge of "hypocrisy" in Rambler No. 14:

Nothing is more unjust, however common, than to charge with hypocrisy him that expresses zeal for those virtues which he neglects to practice; since he may be sincerely convinced of the advantages of conquering his passions, without having yet obtained the victory, as a man may be confident of the advantages of a voyage, or a journey, without having courage or industry to undertake it, and may honestly recommend to others, those attempts which he neglects himself.[1]

Why do I have to meet them so many of them??????

Exoskeleton

I assume everyone is familiar with this:

Yes...the super armor invented by Tony Stark in the Marvel world. but now in reality, we have this....

CyBerdyne Inc.

Cool huh. The only thing lacking now is the source of energy. The current battery can only last for a while. Wonder when will we really see the real Ironman flying in the sky

1st Sept @ 5.50 am

It's been ages since I last updated. Reasons are coz I'm always not at home, nothing philosophical to talk about and no motivation to blog anything. And since I couldn't sleep I finally have an idea on what to write. Just some updates...exam is coming soon...REAL soon indeed and I haven't even start studying. First is of course due to laziness (I chose to blog instead of study) and also many other things been running around my brain.

Just went to watch UP with friends in the evening, the conversation during the dinner + yum cha session got my thinking of many things again. Topic was production line, career and all, which got me thinking of future plans. What to do, why, how and so on and so forth. I know I posted the bare necessity video and talking about appreciating the simple necessities. Well, I do stop and appreciate everything I have once in a while, this is more of achieving security, social, ego, and self actualization needs (Yes..it's Maslow). That's what makes a person complete. If I just want to live a peaceful life with enough food to keep myself alive and healthy, I might as well just go be a monk.

Another thing is my friends keep telling me to get a gf, since I've been single for long long time and not seriously going for someone for quite a while. Well, it's not that I don't want a gf but with this many things in my mind, it's pretty hard to open another extra room for these things...my mind ain't as powerful as everyone thinks. Sighs...for me is just letting things going with the flow and see if any soul will strengthen my mind.

However, although with all these complications and problems and so on, I still manage to stay positive. Even more positive after watching UP. The main point of the movie is, life is an adventure. After one adventure ends, look for a new one. Which makes me realized one thing and gave me another simple goal of life, but I ain't telling...hehehe.

Anyway, congrats to whoever that reads till this part and thank you for going through my long rantings. Hope I can come up with something interesting next post, but I can guarantee it's going to be philosophical.

simple things we forget

Out of the blue moon this song popped into my head.

"don't spend your time looking around
For something you want that can't be found
When you find out you can live without it
And go along not thinking about it"

Most of the time we tend to strife for more and worry for so many things until we forget what's really important, which is our very own body, mind and soul.

A very touching commercial about the true meaning of love. Really worth using 5 mins of your time to watch it.

(the word in the end means family)

It's the little things of imperfections that make one person perfect for another, so why spend so much time looking for the perfect one?

Was thinking of updating the blog with all the fun activities that happened for the pass one month until I received news of a friend who passed away. This is the first time I have the feeling of lost for a friend whom I've never met. Although we never had a chance to meet, as she was very busy and she needs to spend quality time with her loved ones when she had the time, but we've accepted each other as a friend deep into our hearts.

Now that we will never get a chance to meet, but I will always remember your words that made me want to find my worth in this world and be a better person. May you rest in peace my friend, and God bless you.

You speaking the England?

It's been a long debate about changing science and maths to English. Right now the debate is whether English should be a must pass for SPM. When I read the news, I was quite certain many will say yes. Surprisingly, there are people who actually object the idea. What the heck is wrong with these people?? Finally the government is suggesting something really really really REALLY benificial for us and these parents are objecting it????? don't they want their kids to learn? Then why the hell they send their kids to school for????

No wonder I see less competitive people. No wonder singapore is listed the top 5 competitive country in the worlds, while Malaysia is not even in the top 10 list. Sometimes I wonder, are we moving foward or backwards? What's the point of having the technologies and the gigantic buildings while the people don't even know how to communicate properly??? What's the point of getting 101 As while you don't understand a single shit you copied and paste from textbooks to the exam paper?

I love this country, but I get more disappointments towards the country everytime I read the newspapers. Sighs.

Google WAVE

Stumble across something REALLY interesting today. It's called Google WAVE. It's basically a communication tool brought to a whole new level. In my opinion, this is going to bring down IMs like MSN messenger, YM, etc. as it has loads of unbelievable features. It might even bring facebook down, if facebook doesn't stop changing layouts and ignoring their annoyed users' feedbacks. Why is that? Well, take a look at this demo yourself and get blown away.

Watch it here, or straight from Youtube. Your choice, but trust me, you will LOVE it.

Archie proposed???!!!!

I bet everyone of you knows who's Archie Andrews of Achie Comics. Finally, the player has decided to proposed and get married. After days of wondering who the heck is he going to choose, Veronica or Betty (or Cheryl Blossom).

Many would want him to propose to Betty (so do I), but knowing how ignorant how our player is....well..you pretty much guessed he will do the opposite. Today, the long waited answer is finally out!

Yeah, you guessed it. He proposed to VERONICA (Poor Betty). Thank GOD it's not end of the story yet. Dam.....now I wanna go buy that issue, after retiring from the comic for years. (Dam the marketers + story + artist people of archie comics are good)

The Sleepless Night

It's freaking 4.20 in the morning and I just woke up out of a sudden after 3 hours of sleep. Why why why why why???? What's wrong? Was it the coffee? or is it because my mind is filled with things. Many many things, due to the couple sessions of educational chat about a career and life. Too much info to compute...arghh! The dejavu craze is back, been getting hell a lot of it lately, which is not fun.....AT ALL. My mind is blur. Info-ful but blur. It's been running, processing infos from class and trying to apply it for my execution plans. But one thing's been bothering me lately. weird things....i dunno what. Could hardly describe it. I just felt.....weird. For what? I don't know. Why? I don't know. damn.....I don't even know what I'm typing......... >.<

The Mayonnaise Jar

Found this in my mail box. Just wanna share.

When things in your life seem, Almost too much to handle,When 24 Hours in a day is not enough, Remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class And had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, He picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar And proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students, If the jar was full. They agreed that it was.The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open Areas between the golf balls.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full.. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand And poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else.He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded With an unanimous 'yes.'The professor then produced Two cups of coffee from under the table And poured the entire contents Into the jar, effectively Filling the Empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

'Now,' said the professor, As the laughter subsided,'I want you to recognize that This jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things - family, children, health, Friends, and Favorite passions - Things that if everything else was lost And only they remained, Your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter Like your job, house, and car.The sand is everything else --The small stuff.

'If you put the sand into the jar first,' He continued,'there is no room for The pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time And energy on the small stuff,You will never have room for The things that areImportant to you.

So...

Pay attention to the things That are critical to your happiness.Play With your children.Take time to get medical checkups.Take your partner out to dinner.

There will always be time To clean the house and fix the disposal.

'Take care of the golf balls first --The things that really matter.Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.'

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.

The professor smiled.'I'm glad you asked'.It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem,
there's always room for A couple of cups of coffee with a friend.'

So....coffee anyone? :D

the randomness karaoke session

Out of a sudden ystd, one of my friend, Niki, called and ask us to go for bowling. Since this is something she suggested 2 weeks ago everyone agreed. So after picking the respective people and dinner at ampang point, we head to the bowling alley (in a random shopping mall near ampang point). Turns out it's full, and there's a tournament going. So we all decided to go karaoke, and headed for the ktv(the same place we went for Zel's bday). While waiting for the room, as usual, CAMWHORE SESSION!

After a torturing half an hour waiting, we finally got our room. And this is when the throat and ear torture begins.

no....she's NOT my gf if that's what you're wondering

After 2 hours of screaming our lungs out and torturing our own ears (and the dudes outside) it ended. And as Malaysians, everything must end with a yum cha session so we head for Lotus and of course, another camwhoring session, but this time it's candid cam...hehe

Everyone had a great time though everyone is stress about their own problems. It's a time when everyone put down everything and had fun to the very max.
